4 weeks

Kade is 4 weeks old today. He is growing fast and is eating more than Erika can make, or so it seems. He likes his new swing and watching his baby Beethoven and Bach DVDs unless it is just a coincidence and he was just in one of his quiet alert states. He has started more of schedule, until last night which he was up a lot and grumpy.

First Easter

Kade's first Easter and his first picture with all of his cousins. We went to Opfer's house first on Sunday where there were more than 70 people for sure. It is the first time that we have been over there in a long time. It was nice to see everyone.

Next, it was on to the Kraus's Easter. Dinner in the Tea Room is always nice and Grandma Kraus made a lot of good food, the lamb was very good. Great Great Grandma Nellie was able to make it, so we were able to get the 5 generation picture (Grandpa Kraus, Mamma, Kade, Great Great Grandma Kraus, Great Grandpa Kraus):



Then back to the Roth side with a get together at Grandma and Grandpa Roth's house. More new people for Kade to meet. Keri and Travis, Woody and Pat, Libby, Joe and Kids, Craig and Cindy and more family.

Dinner for 6 (+3)

We had a great night with Cory,Tiffaney and Noah; Frank,Maureen and Ethan. They came over for dinner, drinks and conversation. It was our first out-of-family social gathering since Kade was born. I think it went pretty well. There will be many more of these gatherings!

Kade slept good through the night too (1:30 - 5:30), which is a lot better than the previous night. Today Kade will meet the easter bunny at the yacht club. He may not be old enough to do much there, but there are a lot of people that want to meet him down there.

Week Two

This weekend went by so quick. Kade was up a lot at night and slept a lot all day. We made impressions of his hands and feet for a frame we got at one of our showers. Erika and Kade spent a lot of time at Grandma and Grandpa Kraus's house yesterday while I was at Herzog's Bachelor Party. We had a Texas Hold 'em tournament that was like a marathon game (from 12 - 8). I did o.k. for my first time playing. When I got home I was exhausted from being up with Kade since 5 a.m..

Today we went to brunch at the Yacht Club, yum. Afterwards, Great Grandma and Grandpa Kraus came over. Also, Grandpa Roth and Marcie came over.
