Halloween Fun

1 year ago today we found out that Kade was going to be a boy. It is amazing how much has happened since then. Now he is getting his first tooth and has been pretty cranky about it. Last week he caught a virus and then mamma got it too. It was not a good week. Hopefully this tooth comes through soon so that you get back to normal.

Here are some recent pictures...

On the Move

Kade is growing more and more each day. He is so amazing that I still pinch myself in disbelief that he is mine. He is officially mobile - yes, that's right... he is army crawling all over the place! And, like any child, he already knows that it's more fun to crawl towards the things he isn't supposed to rather than his toys. He's no dummy - all he has to do is crawl towards the fireplace and mamma and daddy are making funny faces and noises and quickly moving him away, and he can't help but do it again and again just to get the same reaction out of us!! Babies are a whole lot smarter than we give them credit for.

Notes from Mamma

I finally followed Kyle's instructions and got myself set up to post on Kade's site. Hopefully I can post more than once every six months - I'll try my hardest. This is just a test post to see if it works. I'll add some of my insights into motherhood a little later.

Browns vs. Steelers

Sunday we went up to Toledo for Riley's birthday. It was a good day... the Steelers beat the Browns. Kade and Riley had to show their colors.

Halloweekend

Great Grandma Kraus gave us 2 tickets to go to Cedar Point's Halloweekends. It was a fun day. Erika and I took Kade over and he had a lot of fun. We went through Camp Snoopy and the other attractions. We rode some rides with Kade. I think the best part had to be the Cheese-on-a-Stick though. It was nice to go over as the family and it was a beautiful day. It has been a long time since we have gone to Cedar Point and a lot has changed, but we are excited to get season passes for next year so we can take Kade often.

Kade was good the whole time, except for when we were riding the train and the skeleton's were shooting. The loud bang's scared him. Then, we were up towards the front of the train and the train's whistle was pretty loud. He did not like that either.

Well, it is up to Toledo today for Riley's birthday. She turned 1 on Friday. Wow time flies! Kade will be 1 before we know it.

Go Steelers! Beat the Browns!

Been Awhile

Well, it has been a while since the last post so to keep caught up, here we go...

Last month was mamma and daddy's birthday on the 11th and 14th. We went out for dinner at the Yacht Club and had a nice evening. On Erika's birthday, her uncle Tim Borsick, who lives in Marlette, MI with her aunt Jackie, was in a terrible motorcycle accident. He passed away a few days later. We took the trip up to MI to show our respects for him and the family. The service was very moving as he had touched so many lives. He will be missed. Then, Kade's Great Great Grandmother, Nellie Kraus, died. She lived a full life and had recently fell down and broke her hip. She was 95.

In other news, Kade is getting bigger and bigger. He is getting more fun too. He is sitting up and trying to start crawling, he just can't get up on his knees yet. He had fun going to his Monday night Library classes with his friends Noah and Ethan.

Daddy has been very busy at work and putting in some overtime. We will have to save that money for some christmas presents!
